The Nobel Prize For Propaganda

Environmental activist Algore was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize this year, for his activism and officially discredited propaganda movie on global warming.  It’s just further proof (as if any were needed) that the Nobel people have succumbed to political correctness, and are just another left wing group of professional propagandists.

Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi Minister of Propaganda, would be proud.

According to Algore, “We face a planetary emergency.”  Funny, but I don’t recall Algore saying anything about global warming while he was Vice-President for 8 years.  I guess he was too busy inventing the internet.

Why is it that these environmental crises only happen during Republican administrations?

Remember the furor over acid rain during the Reagan administration?  Or renowned scientist Ted Danson’s admonishment in 1988 that the oceans would be dead in 10 years?   Remember how aerosol spray was going to kill us?  Or Alar on apples?  The list of environmentalist schemes and scare tactics goes on and on.

According to Algore, scientists “all” agree that global warming is a reality.  Sure they all agree.  Just like they all agreed about the April 28, 1975 article in Newsweek by Peter Gwynne, warning us all about global cooling and the coming ice age.

Once politicians get involved, you can bet they’ll find some excuse to throw your money at the problem, even though they can’t fix the perceived environmental problem.

Meanwhile, the gullible masses get fired up about the “problem.”  They go all over the country, giving speeches, holding fundraisers, putting on concerts, anything to raise money to solve the “problem.”  After a few years, most people lose interest in the “problem” and the fundraising dries up.  So it’s time to invent a new environmental “problem” and start the process all over again.

Yes, the environment is going through a change.  But it’s always in a constant state of change. There have been periods in recent history when parts of the country were going trough severe drought, just as they are now. There have been periods of record rain and snowfall.  We’ve seen temperature extremes, numerous hurricanes, winds, gray skies, and on and on.

The world’s environment is constantly changing, and the changes aren’t always good for humans.  If we could somehow get all of humanity to do something, we night have it within our minute power to effect a minor change.  But the simple actions of a handful of Americans isn’t going to have any significant impact one way or another.

To trust politicians to be able to change the environment would be a good joke, if it wasn’t such an expensive proposition.  When a politician talks about changing the environment, grab your wallet.  It’s going to be an expensive ride.
